Created to revolutionize filmmaking, the Ronin 4D Cinema Camera is a hybrid system unlike any other. It has an integrated gimbal and modular design to offer a comprehensive and flexible cinematography solution for solo cinematographers.

DJI Ronin 4D-1

As DJI’s new flagship gimbal system, the Ronin 4D was developed with an integrated  Z-axis to eliminate vertical camera shake and work with visual sensors and ActiveTrack Pro. Its ergonomic design, along with the integrated 4-axis gimbal on the Ronin 4D, minimizes the tedious manual balancing needed to achieve smooth filming; users will notice unmatched control and stability.

The part that has filmmakers and cinema enthusiasts raving? The Ronin 4D’s ability to capture 8K video with RAW support and sophisticated LiDAR focusing. Designed for professional-grade imagery, it has a full-frame X9 gimbal camera that internally records in ProRes 422 HQ and supports 14+ stops of dynamic range.  With the Zenmuse X9 full-frame video camera, the Ronin 4D is capable of capturing up to 8K30p in ProRes HQ (and 8K75p in ProRes RAW).

Another incredible feature is the Ronin 4D’s built-in ND filters—complete with optimized lens months for the DJI DL system, the filters offer versatility for filming in a variety of situations and locations.  With the 7-inch, 1000nit high-bright monitor, users can see and control every aspect of their scene. Paired with the wireless video receiver, the monitor is an ideal solution for having precise control over the movement-based camera controls.

The Ronin 4D integrates LiDAR focusing with cinematic imaging to support convenient and instant shooting. The LiDAR Waveform feature of the Ronin 4D supports quick manual focusing, allowing for precise filming, even in low-light environments.

Along with incredible stability and cinematic imaging capabilities, the Ronin 4D features wireless transmission up to 20,000 feet and supports multiple receivers from one transmission. The Ronin 4D’s gimbal, focus, and camera settings can be controlled remotely, offering unmatched flexibility during filmmaking.
