According to DJI, each transmitter weighs about an ounce, making it a convenient alternative compared to traditional wired audio devices.

DJI has made the Mic versatile, reducing use limitations; it is widely compatible with various devices, including most smartphones, laptops, and camera brands because of its USB-C, Lightning, and 3.5 mm TRS ports. It can be paired with the DJI OM 5 and Action 2 for capturing incredible audio for users’ videos.

It’s equipped with dual-channel recording and supports long-range wireless transmission to capture clear, reliable audio, regardless of the location. With the dual-channel recording capabilities, users can record high-fidelity audio via two transmitters, up to 820 ft. (250 m), without interruptions or interference from background noise.

Why the two transmitters?
What’s incredible about the DJI Mic is that it can serve as an independent recording device and as a back up soundtrack recorder, helping users capture crisp audio without feedback.  This allows users to record audio while acting as a backup recorder and independent recording device.

For all-day recording, users can enjoy up to 5.5 hours of battery life from the transmitters, and 5 hours from the receiver. As a portable solution, the compact carrying case is travel-sized, and can charge the transmitters up to 15 hours for maximum convenience. Compared to other solutions on the market, the transmitters and carrying case are quick to charge, making them ideal for traveling users. On average, the transmitters take just over an hour to charge, while the charging case takes approximately 2 hours and 40 minutes to reach 100%.
